Shaw Industries is seeking a Continuous Systems Improvement Manager.
The Logistics Continuous Systems Improvement Manager is responsible for ensuring consistency in processes across Carpet, Hard Surface, and Regional Distribution and Global Transportation within the ISC. This role will focus on establishing and maintaining high standards of operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives through the Shaw Management System (SMS), and enhancing claims and quality management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
Drive Consistency in Processes:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize processes across Carpet, Hard Surface, and Regional Distribution.
- Develop and implement best practices to ensure uniformity in operations, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure Standards and Compliance:
- Establish and maintain operational standards that align with company goals and industry regulations.
- Monitor adherence to established protocols and procedures, providing guidance and support as necessary.
Continuous Improvement through SMS:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing the Shaw Management System (SMS) framework.
- Identify areas for improvement through data analysis, process mapping, and stakeholder feedback, implementing changes that drive operational excellence.
Claims and Quality Improvement:
- Oversee the claims process, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing impact on customer satisfaction.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives, analyzing trends and root causes to enhance product and service quality.
Establish Protocol Procedures:
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics operations.
- Ensure that all team members are trained on these procedures and understand their importance in maintaining operational integrity.
Support Effective Management Systems (WMS, LMS, YMS, TMS):
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure that logistics and transportation systems are effective and meet the needs of the business.
- Provide input on system enhancements and participate in testing new functionalities.
Conduct Audits and Training:
- Plan and execute regular audits to assess compliance with established processes and standards.
- Assist in development of training programs for staff to promote understanding of procedures and continuous improvement methodologies.
Lead Change Across the Logistics Division:
- Act as a change agent within the logistics division, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to engage employees in the change process and gather feedback for ongoing enhancements.
Qualifications:
- 4 year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in logistics, operations management, or process improvement roles, or High school diploma/GED and 5 years of experience in logistics, operations management, or process improvement role.
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
