Job Title Digital Printing Specialist II/III Position Overview Shaw Industries is looking for a Digital Printing Specialist to partner with business units across the enterprise to offer various types of print solutions. These positions will drive the execution for all print production across a fleet of digital printing and finishing equipment. A strong partnership with the Digital Lab team to ensure quality imagery is consistently maintained is expected in these positions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain a clean and organized work area Inspect printed materials for quality control, making necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality output Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of parts as needed Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with management when necessary Coordinate and execute all production to ensure timely delivery Maintain inventory of supplies and raw materials Physical stamina and strength to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift supplies up to 50 lbs. DIGITAL PRINTING SPECIALIST II Capable to perform all expectations of the Digital Printing Specialist I position Operating digital print equipment to produce high-quality printing Performing regular maintenance and cleaning of digital printing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity Monitoring print production and adjusting as necessary to ensure consistent and accurate output Managing inventory and supplies to ensure an adequate supply of raw materials Coordinating with internal partners to ensure that print jobs are completed on time and meet their expectations Troubleshooting issues with digital printing equipment and software to identify and resolve problems Setting up and operating machines or equipment used in the finishing processes Inspecting printed materials to ensure they meet quality standards Trimming and cutting materials to size, using cutting machines or hand tools Folding materials according to specific instructions and guidelines Collating and assembling material in the correct order and sequence Binding materials using various methods Packaging finished materials for shipment or distribution Maintaining and repairing equipment, as needed DIGITAL PRINTING SPECIALIST III Capable to perform all expectations of the Digital Printing Specialist II position A clear understanding of the methodology of the color management practices Create, align and control Shaw’s Enterprise Digital Print Standards utilizing our color management system Monitoring and control the daily calibrations of proofing and production equipment Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies on proofing and production equipment Create new substrate profiles that align to enterprise color target -Ensure our quality standards are maintaining delta E measurements within our print tolerances SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Customer centricity Ability to manage and perform multiple critical tasks simultaneously Ability to plan, organize and execute strategically Effective communication skills - both verbal and written POSITION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or related equivalent - Required Minimum of 2 years working in a print production environment - Recommended Pass Munsell Hue Color Discrimination Test - Required REQUIRED COMPETENCIES Build Customer Satisfaction (Customer Focused) Adapt and Change (Change) Manage Work (Strategy) Continuous Improvement (Innovation) Solve Problems (Decision Making) Shaw benefits include: Medical, dental, vision insurance and Pet insurance Life insurance and disability coverage Tuition reimbursement Employee assistance program Health savings account Paid Time Off Parental Leave 401K and Retirement Plans Product discounts for employees Gym membership discounts Adoption assistance Shaw Family Health Center (Dalton, GA, and Cartersville, GA, locations) And much more.
