Position Overview
Shaw Industries is hiring an HR Representative to support our manufacturing operations in Cartersville, GA. The HR department is a busy and fast-paced work environment with lots of opportunity to learn and grow.

Position Description:
- Assists associates with questions, directs people to MyHR appropriately and helps to resolve concerns such as Kronos, benefits, etc.
- Works closely with Talent Acquisition and coordinates all plant hourly interviews with the Hiring Team.
- Serves as the coordinator of the Hiring Team, ensures team members are trained, and evaluates effectiveness of the members.
- Manages all appropriate employee data in Workday, i.e., new hire information, etc.
- Works with new associates to ensure a smooth transition to the plant. This includes scheduling associates for orientation, drug screens, etc.
- Works with departments when temporary associates are needed. Tracks temporary associates and hours worked.
- Assists Managers in learning Workday by teaching new tools and tips.
- Understands team system job interest policies and manages systems.
- Understands Shaw’s Records and Retention policies and ensures HR files are managed appropriately.
- Coordinates associates events such as Pride Day, Veteran’s Day, Family Day, etc.
- Assists others and generates reports from Workday as needed.
- Handles weekly reporting of worker’s compensation transitional duty information to Gallagher Bassett.
- Assists with Exit Interviews if needed.
- Conduct meetings with associates to increase understanding and awareness of benefits and/or programs, if needed.
Position Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Must be proficient with various computer programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Google Docs and spreadsheets
- Must be flexible with schedule with the ability to work on all three shifts as needed
Additional Preferences:
- Language preferences, English and Spanish preferred
