Position Overview
Shaw Industries is searching for a Heatset Supervisor to lead associates and to comply with all safety, quality, production, waste, absenteeism, turnover, and housekeeping standards necessary to meet the departmental requirements assigned by the Department Manager. Interacts directly with other supervisors in the accomplishment of support, scheduling, and through-put improvement objectives in the manufacturing process. Responsible for all necessary forecasting, planning, assigning, reporting, and follow-up for all departmental daily functions.
Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to the Heatset Department Manager.
- Coordinates with the Twisting and Heatset Departments to insure the proper flow of yarn through the Heatset Department.
- Directs and monitors all activity of the Heatset operators, mechanics, and technicians to ensure proper production and quality levels are attained.
- Implement procedures in the Heatset Department Standard Operating Procedure.
- Directly accountable and responsible for the actions and safety of all Heatset personnel.
- Initiates and promotes quality and safety to Heatset personnel.
- Holds monthly safety meetings.
- Implements the Positive Discipline Program to insure conformance of all individuals to company policies.
- Insures excellent housekeeping in all areas of responsibility.
- Tours and inspects all areas of the Heatset Department.
- Attends all company seminars relevant to the job duties of the production supervisor.
- Promotes and participates in all department and plant related activities such as special events, celebrations, and other activities to boost morale of Heatset personnel.
- Provides shift schedules to ensure proper allocation of people, machinery, and yarn flow.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 1-2 years supervisor (relief supervisor) experience.

Work Shift
12 Hr rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Act Calendar, days & AM/PM start time changes in the rotation
