Job Title Material Handler I | $17.02 Position Overview Position Overview: Retrieves, weighs, and transports buggies of finished yarn, waste, and cordage to appropriate staging area. Records pounds weighed and keeps running total for production records. Responsibilities: -Pushes U-buggies of finished yarn to scales. Checks yarn and ticket on each buggy insuring correct information. Counts number of tubes on buggy and then input tube count and required lot information into Shaw Fiber System and prints production ticket. Pushes buggy to correct staging area. -Maintains ample supply of empty U-buggies in staging areas. -Pushes U-buggies of in-process yarn to the appropriate staging area sorted by product and lot number. -Weighs operator cordage, damaged feed packages, and aspirator waste and input into Shaw Fiber System and prints waste ticket. -Records waste tickets on work sheet and transports waste to Recycling. -Transports all full boxes of empty tubes to the appropriate area. -Empties trash cans on assigned lines and transports trash to compactor. -Keeps material handler desk stocked with office supplies. -Complies with procedures found in Shaw Management System (SMS). -Must be able to work rotating shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required. Requirements: Manufacturing experience preferred.
