Plant 78 | Twisting Utility | 12-Hour Night Shift
Position Overview
Position Objective:
- The Utility is responsible for facilitating the smooth operation of the department to include the complete housekeeping within the department.
Essential Duties:
- Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. Work overtime as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Weigh up twisting inventory for Heatset.
- Ensure that all waste is weighed, bale, ticketed and recorded.
- Make separate Bales for Sweeps and Machine waste.
- Place all Bales and YOT Boxes in the warehouse after they are ticketed.
- Assist Inspector II with Heatset RTV and disposing of defective packages.
- Comply with Twisting yarn segregation.
- Communicate with existing supervisor regarding any changes, problems, or concerns.
- Ensure Proper Lag Time per Aiken Extruded Yarns.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned area throughout the shift.
- Clean buggy wheels, per Buggy Cleaning procedure in work instructions.
- Empty all recycling containers in Twisting, including yarn and recycle receptacles, as needed.
- Inspect, sign-off, and check out Tugger daily.
- Operate Tugger throughout the shift.
- Operate a lift truck when needed.
- Bring Plastic tubes to job assignments as needed.
- Bring textured tubes only if instructed by Supervisor.
Non-Essential Duties:
- Assist other Twisting personnel as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand or walk for eight (8) to twelve (12) hours.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, lift, carry and reach occasionally.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds frequently.
- Ability to distinguish between colors
Other Requirements:
- Must possess good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Actively participate in the PRIDE and FIBER Processes.
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required.
- Plant 78 is a tobacco-free facility.

12 Hr rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Act Calendar, shift starts PM, days change only
