Job Overview
As a Commercial Concrete Construction Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial concrete projects. This role requires a deep understanding of concrete construction, materials, labor costs, and industry trends. You will collaborate with project managers, clients, and vendors to ensure that bids are both competitive and profitable.
Key Responsibilities
βοΈ Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
βοΈ Perform quantity takeoffs and determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
βοΈ Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
βοΈ Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals for commercial concrete projects.
βοΈ Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to refine estimates and ensure project feasibility.
βοΈ Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate cost overruns.
βοΈ Stay up to date with industry trends, labor rates, and material pricing.
βοΈ Assist in contract negotiations and value engineering efforts.
Qualifications & Skills
π Experience: Minimum of 4 years in concrete estimating or a related construction estimating role.
π Education: Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
π₯οΈ Proficiency in estimating software such as [On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift, or other relevant tools].
π Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
π Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in cost analysis.
π Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.

π Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
