Responsibilities

The Assistant Project Accountant is a member of the accounting team and provides financial support to Shawmut’s project teams for lump sum and GMP projects.

Responsibilities

• Supports Project Accountant and project teams for lump sum and GMP jobs
  
• Project setups/closeouts
• Internal budget locking/mapping
• Billing/Mapping/Cost moves
• Phase code setup
• Opportunity Management/CRM Support/Opportunity Notifications
• Any responsibilities delegated from Project Accountant
  
  
  
  

• Reporting and Tracking
  
• Business line tracking of Finance related deliverables
• Run time charging reports /manage allocations
• Produce PX scorecard if needed
• Update various tracking spreadsheets for business line analysis
• Ad hoc reporting as needed or as delegated to
  
  
  

Handles LS and small GMP projects with financial oversight

• Project setups/closeouts
• Internal budget locking/mapping
• Billing/Mapping/Cost moves
• Phase code setup
• Other projects as assigned
  
  
  

Qualifications

Experience & Education

• Undergrad Degree (Accounting/Finance coursework, Degree Preferred)
• 0-1 years of experience or relevant internship experience
• AP experience preferred but not required

• Strong communication/interpersonal skills
• Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, high sense of urgency and ability to manage to deadlines.
