Description
The Product Development Technician is a crucial member of our team, ensuring that all production runs smoothly through our manufacturing facility. You will gather data and samples, set up processes on the floor, and evaluate samples while coordinating orders through the plant. This role involves working closely with engineers, communicating essential information, and overcoming any production roadblocks. Responsibilities:
-Gather data and samples for all production runs and ensure proper setup on the floor.
-Evaluate samples and load data into the system.
-Coordinate and expedite orders through the plant, addressing any roadblocks.
-Relay gathered information to engineers and ensure adherence to engineering requirements.
-Monitor and facilitate product development trials through each step in the facility.
-Document trial performance and communicate with the product development team.
-Collaborate with planning, production, laboratory, customer service, and shipping departments to ensure effective communication of material and product development information.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
-High school diploma or GED equivalent.
-Minimum of 3-5 years of textile processing and/or manufacturing experience.
-Excellent communication skills to interact across multiple organizational levels.
-Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Teams and Excel, as well as shipping/logistics software.
-Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
-Strong multitasking abilities and a proactive, go-getter attitude.
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
-Capability to utilize manufacturing equipment to assist with trials.
-A willingness to go above and beyond and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
