Shawmut Services is seeking door knockers to participate in voter contact programs in the Oakland area. As a canvasser, you will travel door to door in the Oakland area to talk to voters about candidates for mayor and city council.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
This is an hourly position with an hourly rate of $25 per hour. Canvassers are eligible to work up to 40 hours per week, and must work at least three (3) seven-hour shifts per week.

- Entry-level position, no experience necessary
- Canvassers earn $25/hr or up to $875 per week
- Extensive paid training provided
- We provide $10 gas compensation for each shift

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Must have the physical stamina to stand/walk for long periods (up to 7 hours per day) while meeting and talking to people
- Ability to memorize and recite scripts and statements prepared and provided by Shawmut Services
- Consistently meet daily and weekly conversation goals
- Understand how to use a cell phone to track and submit data
- Must possess reliable personal transportation
