Housing Coordinator

Job Summary
The Housing Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations and management of housing facilities. This position involves ensuring compliance with housing regulations, providing support to residents, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of social work and property management skills, enabling them to effectively address the needs of residents while managing property operations efficiently.

Duties

• Oversee daily operations of housing facilities, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to residents facing challenges related to housing stability.
• Facilitate communication between residents and property management, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.
• Implement programs that promote resident engagement and community building.
• Maintain accurate records related to resident services, occupancy rates, and property maintenance.
• Collaborate with social service agencies to connect residents with necessary resources such as addiction counseling or motivational interviewing.
• Negotiate lease agreements and ensure adherence to property policies.

Skills

• Strong background in social work or related fields, with an emphasis on crisis intervention techniques.
• Knowledge of property management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with legal aspects of housing, including tenant rights and fair housing laws.
• Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate lease agreements and resolve disputes effectively.
• Ability to conduct motivational interviewing to assist residents in achieving their personal goals.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with residents and community partners.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
