Job Title: Transportation Specialist
Reports to: Clinical Director and Site coordinator
Status: Full time
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Transportation Specialist: Transportation Specialist will oversee the cleanliness and care of all vehicles. Transportation Specialist will transport clients for Outpatient and residential when needed.
Transportation Specialist Job Duties:
· Scheduling Transportation in BestNotes
· Liaising with Clinicians and Clients for transportation needs
· Liaising with Site coordinators and Administrative Coordinator for maintenance with vehicles.
o Make sure the vehicle maintenance forms are filled out.
· Transportation for both Outpatient and Inpatient, when needed.
o Outpatient clients- drop the Client off and can leave and provide other transportation.
o Residential 2.5- Can drop the Client off and can leave provide other transportation.
o Residential 3.5- Must stay with the Client.
· Making sure all vehicles are clean inside and out.
· Make sure vehicles have gas in them.
· Make sure the vehicles all have the following inside:
o Unexpired First Aid Kit
o Pre- drive checklist
o What to do in case of emergencies- policy and procedures
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to communicate in person or by telephone. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, bend; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may need to sit for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Work Environment:
These characteristics are representative of those an employee may encounter performing the essential functions of the job. The employee works with alcohol and/or drug dependent individuals where a high degree of stress is possible. The position does not normally involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues; but it may require performing unplanned tasks where exposure may occur. The position requires the use of standard precautions.
Conditions of Employment:
· Satisfactory reference and background investigation checks
· Completion of a pre-employment drug screening and random drug/alcohol screening
· Demonstrated computer literacy through successful completion of pre-employment testing may be required.
· Satisfactory completion of a fingerprint background check at the time of hire.
· Completion of tuberculin screening no later than three days prior to the new employee's first work day and annually thereafter
· Completion of new employee orientation and ALL required paperwork prior to reporting to work
· Completion of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI/De-escalation) Training
· Infection Prevention and Cultural Awareness employee training
· Completion of CPR/First Aid Training
· Completion of required trainings
· Attendance at all mandatory staff development and training
· Successful completion of a six-month on-the-job orientation period

Required Training:
First Aid/CPR certification
TB Testing
FBI/CBI Background check completion

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience in SUD and behavioral health is a plus
Transportation experience
