JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Practitioner – will be responsible for providing psychiatric/medical services to severely mentally ill adult clients and / or emotionally disturbed youth, based on training and scope of practice, of Shawnee Mental Health Center, Inc.
The Nurse Practitioner – is clinically responsible for adhering to a collaborative care arrangement with a staff/contracted psychiatrist and/or family care physician.
CORE DUTIES
Generate and enhance revenue through positive program outcomes
Provide psychiatric care, including on-going wellness education and recovery management, and medical services to
adults with severe mental illness or youth with a serious emotional disturbance, based on training and scope of practice.
Provide education regarding illness and treatment to all clients served
Maintains all necessary continuing education documentation to renew licensure
Participate in team staff meetings to enhance integration and promote referrals
Works collaboratively with other medical services staff. Maintains confidentiality at all times
Maintains positive attitude, demonstrating and promoting Agency programs, mission, policies & procedures
Demonstrates the ability to meet all state department documentation standards
Demonstrates willingness to seek and accept supervision
Keeps supervisor informed regarding program issues in a timely manner
Maintains good community relations and represents the Agency at community meetings as required
Makes sound, cooperative and ethical decisions
Makes efficient use of time and demonstrates punctuality and meets attendance guidelines
Works with client and multi-disciplinary team in an ethical, humane, culturally sensitive, and respectful manner
Uses self-restraint, control of emotions, and evenness of temper with staff and clients
Meets established billable productivity as determined by management
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
