Location: Shawnee Feed Center
Reports to: Store Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly
Position Summary:
The Store Secretary will work closely with the Store Manager to coordinate and perform all daily administrative functions. Duties will include but not be limited to customer service, maintaining the store, answering phones, filing and data entry. A successful candidate will need to have a professional demeanor, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, possess exceptional organizational abilities, and have initiative to learn new skills and grow in the position. We are willing to invest time into training the ideal candidate, so experience in this field is not a necessity. A coachable attitude and aggressive personality are far more important in this position than previous experience. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and provide quality customer service to customers.
- Perform clerical and administrative duties such as scheduling and maintaining files.
- Maintain accurate accounting/bookkeeping functions for the store.
- Answer incoming phone calls, taking messages and re-directing calls as needed.
- Dealing with external email enquiries and internal email communications.
- Enter data into applicable operating systems software as needed.
- Process purchase orders.
- Restock shelves/displays and update pricing as needed.
- Weigh incoming and outgoing trucks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Must have valid Driver’s License.
- Minimum 1-year experience performing clerical or administrative related duties preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, climb, reach overhead and lift up to 40lbs.
Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm & Saturday 8:00am – 1:00pm.
- 90-day probationary period applies.
