SUMMARY : The SPED Instructional Specialist is responsible for supporting special educators in the use of specially designed, research-based instructional practices designed to improve student achievement for students with disabilities. This position will require the Instructional Specialist to have the ability to model, support and lead others in all areas of specially designed instruction including effective lesson design, research-based instructional strategies, and authentic technology integration for both existing and newly hired staff. The Instructional Specialist will provide training on IEP development, data analysis and progress monitoring.
