Assistant Director of Nursing
Location: Shawnee Senior Living Facility

We are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team in delivering the highest standard of nursing care while supporting our commitment to resident well-being.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in overseeing the daily functions of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in line with current standards, state/federal guidelines, and facility objectives.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, consultants, and government agencies to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Participate in the assessment and care planning process for residents, ensuring personalized, person-centered care plans.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensure proper staffing levels, and assist in recruiting and training personnel.
- Monitor nursing quality measures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that staff follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents.
- Serve on committees such as Care Plan, QAPI, and other facility reviews as necessary.
- Actively participate in facility surveys and audits as directed by the DON or Administrator.
- Report any issues, including medication errors or staff performance concerns, and assist in corrective action development.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in the state.
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in long-term care.
- Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, staff, and outside agencies.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to make independent decisions and foster teamwork.
