What are the responsibilities and job description for the English Language Development Instructor position at Shawsheen Valley Technical High School?
Shawsheen Valley Technical High School is seeking an English Language Development Instructor for the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates must possess an English as a Second Language 5-12 license (or equivalent) from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education. Candidates should also have prior experience working with EL students, preferably in a vocational/technical high school setting.
Preferred qualifications/experience:
•Proven track record working with at-risk student populations
•Cross-curricular program design
•Ability to analyze and utilize relevant data to drive decisions and maintain detailed student records
•Collaboration with teachers from various departments
•Familiarity with state mandated MCAS and ACCESS testing procedure
•Dual licensure in either English or Special Education
•Spanish and/or Portuguese fluency
•International living/teaching experience.
Salary Range $66,400 - $108,562 commensurate with experience.
