SHE MEDIA SENIOR PUBLISHER DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
In this high-impact role, the Senior Publisher Development Manager will be responsible for prospecting, recruiting, and contracting top partners to the SHE Media Collective. In addition to identifying and contracting Tier 1 and Tier 2 publishers, Sr. PDM will provide ongoing value to ensure we are meeting our goals for fulfillment. The Sr PDM will receive prioritization of publisher profile for key supply pillars: PMPX, Scale, Premium, MMP, Flow, and Strategic Partner from her VP and from the SVP of Media Solutions.
THE WORK
As a member of the SHE Media Partner Network team, reporting to the VP of Partner Development, the Senior Manager will be responsible for securing publisher partners for the SHE Media Collective. You are goal-driven, strategic, and motivated to find new partners that you have identified as strategic and necessary for both the mission and growth of the SHE Media Collective and client demand needs. And above all else, the Senior Manager is accountable to building the health and scale of The Collective by contributing premium, monetizable value to the Collective.
The ideal candidate will be a leader with an authoritative presence in market. She/he will be driven, self-motivated, collaborative, and passionate about acquiring, building, and identifying publisher relationships to meet the needs of the business. The candidate should have a firm understanding of the digital media space, including publisher paint points, needs, programmatic advertising, monetization, and technical solutions. You will use your knowledge of the programmatic and direct advertising needs for SHE Media as well as SHE Media’s ad monetization services to recruit publisher partners who are looking to grow audience, revenue, and editorial exposure, or be part of and align with SHE Media’s mission and strength in key categories. You will have a pulse of what is happening in the ad tech space, and creator space, as well as some of the challenges facing digital publishers today, and report back to management the challenges and opportunities to serve publishers. She/he must have excellent communication skills, be a strategic thinker, and have the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of publishers (some very tech-savvy to those that have minimal ad tech knowledge) at all levels of an organization. Finally, the Sr PMD will be a force of positivity and productivity within the SHE Media culture. This role contains significant ongoing growth opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Publisher Development
● Thoroughly understand SHE Media’s capabilities and unique offerings
● Strategically identify publishers that are a good fit for the SHE Media Collective and its key supply pillars
● Be able to ask the questions that help uncover mutual value of a partner’s capabilities such as AudX, social, and thought leadership in areas that support our direct business.
● Proactively prospect and grow your pipeline of publisher partners' and hit pipeline KPIs
● Pitch, structure, lead negotiations, and close new publisher partnerships that are aligned with business needs and in a quantity that meet and exceeds assigned quota.
● Create pitch decks that speak to the publisher’s audience, business, and unique needs
● Follow through the entire sales process and advocate for the book of business you bring in post-close.
● Understand what each partner values and regularly provide feedback to management on market needs.
● Regularly be on pitch calls and move prospective opportunities through the sales pipeline
● Collaborate and strategize on proposals that fit a publisher’s needs while keeping SHE Media's profit and acquisition goals in mind
● Beyond individual publisher development, develop B2B business development relationships that drive publisher lead-gen and deliver commercial partnerships
● Present and refine the ongoing value proposition to Partners beyond monetizing their media including the benefits of being a holistic partner that benefits from partnering with a well-established Top Comscore media company with resources and expertise.
● Identify and procure opportunities for 3rd party referral lead generation
● Be a team player that is collaborative and works well across teams
SKILLS
● 4 - 6 years in a publisher, business development or sales role
● Experience selling ad tech and monetization solutions to publishers
● Understanding of the advertising landscape and publisher tech stack
● Proven closer that can secure leads independently
● A strong network of Tier 1 and Tier 2 publisher relationships with decision-makers that you will be able to call upon
● Great customer service, partnership development, and ability to listen and understand publisher pain points
● Ability to turn strategic direction into autonomous action
● Excellent communication (both written and verbal), negotiation and presentation skills
● Experience collaborating across client success, technical onboarding, sales, legal and marketing teams
● Process-driven: proactive, organized tracking, onboarding, follow-ups
Salary : $120 - $140
