Overview of the Role
A healthcare facility in Murfreesboro, North Carolina, is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia services as an independent contractor. This role involves working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on various surgical cases, including General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and OB/GYN. The position offers flexibility with a work schedule of two weeks on and two weeks off.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Clinical Duties: Provide anesthesia care for a wide range of surgical procedures, including general anesthesia, blocks, and labor epidurals.
- Case Management: Manage approximately 180 surgical cases per month, ensuring safe and effective anesthesia care.
- CRNA Supervision: Oversee and collaborate with a team of experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).
- Shared Call: Participate in a shared call rotation to ensure continuous coverage, including nights and weekends.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Board Certification: Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology.
- Licensure: Must have or be willing to obtain a medical license in the state of North Carolina.
- Experience: Experience in managing a variety of surgical cases, including general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and OB/GYN, is preferred.
