Job Title : Crane Operator
Location : Greensburg, PA
Rate : $21.00-$27.50 / hr Overtime
Responsibilities : - Operate and control the movement of cranes to lift, position, and place materials and equipment
- Operate electric overhead traveling crane
- Transport ingots to cooling pits or furnaces- Perform pre-operational checks and inspections on the crane to ensure it is in safe working condition- Safely rig loads and attach them to the crane using appropriate lifting devices- Follow all safety procedures and protocols while operating the crane- Communicate with ground crew and other personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations- Maintain accurate records of crane operations, including daily logs and inspection reports
Qualifications : - Valid crane operator certification / license- Proven experience operating cranes in a variety of settings- Strong knowledge of rigging techniques and safe lifting practices- Ability to read and interpret load charts and blueprints- Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception- Strong attention to detail and focus on safety- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
