**Job Title:** Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician to join our team.
As a Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician at our rural hospital, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive medical care to our patients. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a supportive team of healthcare professionals, including medical assistants, nurse practitioners, and licensed practical nurses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality primary care services to patients of all ages, including preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Utilize electronic medical record systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Work closely with medical assistants, nurse practitioners, and licensed practical nurses to optimize patient care and workflow efficiency.
- Participate in on-call rotation (1-3) with rounding on patients during the day, minimizing call requirements due to ER physician coverage after 5pm.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education to stay abreast of best practices and advancements in primary care.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school and board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Louisiana.
- Excellent clinical skills and a commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Willingness to adapt to electronic medical record systems.
