Key Responsibilities:

• Surgical Care: Perform a wide range of general surgical procedures, including elective and emergency surgeries.
• Patient Management: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with surgical conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Pre- and Post-Operative Care: Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Consultations: Offer expert consultation for complex surgical cases and collaborate with other specialists as needed.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Licensure: Unrestricted medical license to practice in Texas or ability to obtain.
• Experience: Proven experience in general surgery with a strong track record of successful patient outcomes.
