Job Title : System Safety Engineer
Location : Huntsville, AL (Hybrid must be onsite 2-3 days a week)
Salary : 95k-125k
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Safety Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. As a System Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our systems and products. This position requires a deep understanding of safety engineering principles, as well as hands-on experience in conducting various safety analyses and producing comprehensive safety documentation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide direct in-line safety engineering support to Programs / Projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct Fault Tree Analyses (FTAs), Functional Failure Analyses (FFAs), Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEAs), and other system safety engineering analyses to identify potential hazards and risks.
- Generate System Safety Analysis Reports (SSARs) and Safety Data Packages (SDPs) containing detailed hazard analysis results and mitigation strategies.
- Utilize computer-aided safety analysis tools such as CAFTA, Saphire, or similar tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in safety assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective safety measures and solutions.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in system safety engineering.
