Pay : $16.60 per hour
Benefits :
New hourly full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment.
Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (“PTO”) in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year.
Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually.
Part-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Sick Leave in accordance with state guidelines.
All team members 21 years and older are eligible to participate in the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completion of 30 days of service.
POSITION OVERVIEW :
The Gate Host monitors the gate entry, ensuring that all residents and guests are welcomed to the community and directed to the appropriate destination. This position reports to the Gate Host Supervisor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Act as a “Goodwill Ambassador” to welcome all visitors approaching the gate using the community assigned script, including residents and guests, potential purchasers, construction personnel, golfers and restaurant guests, and delivery services.
- Lock and unlock the community Association facilities daily; set alarms and on-call for after-hours alarm calls.
- Provide gate system card information and construction passes; complete required entry system documentation; offer direction to visitors stopping at the gate to assure they enjoy their time at the community.
- Provide instruction for new owners on gate system operations.
- Facilitate vacation watch parameters, assist homeowners with entry gate operations, monitor gate system for maintenance related issues, and patrol the community association facilities each evening.
- Control traffic at entry gates to prevent accidents and confusion.
- Monitor delivery services and suspicious vehicles; communicate with homeowner and construction personnel to confirm authorization for entry.
- Monitor gates for maintenance related issues and report issues to a supervisor.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :
This position operates in both an indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to weather conditions, and occasionally native wildlife, when outdoors on the facility grounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk (often for most of a work shift), use hands to fingers, handle or feel, bend, and reach with hands and arms.
