Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and results driven Outside Industrial Forklift Salesman to join our team. As an Outside Industrial Forklift Salesman, you will be responsible for establishing new business relationships, promoting our range of forklift products, and driving sales growth within the industrial sector. Your exceptional communication skills, combined with your in-depth knowledge of forklifts and their applications, will enable you to provide excellent customer service and meet sales targets.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and drive business growth within the industrial sector.
- Identify and establish new business relationships with potential clients, including manufacturers, warehouses, and distribution centers.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential customers and industry trends, and use this information to develop targeted sales pitches and proposals.
- Present our range of forklift products and services to potential clients, highlighting their features, benefits, and cost-saving advantages.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including the sales support and customer service departments, to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial contact to after-sales service.
- Continuously cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling our products and services.
- Stay up-to-date with industry news, trends, and competitors to ensure a competitive edge in the market.
- Prepare accurate sales reports and forecasts, providing management with valuable insights into market trends, customer needs, and potential growth opportunities.
- Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to represent the company and expand your professional network.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in outside sales, preferably in the industrial or material handling equipment industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial forklifts and their applications.
- Strong negotiation and persuasive skills, with the ability to build long-term client relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to conduct effective market research and analyze customer needs.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively to meet with clients.

Education/Training/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Solid knowledge of the computer systems in use in the dealership and ability to use recent office software and other pertinent technologies

  • Willingness to adapt to change
  • Ability to maintain a positive presence in the region

License(s) or Certification(s) Required:

  • Valid Driver’s License and good driving record

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves some sitting.
  • Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, and walking are occasionally required.
  • Talking, hearing, and seeing with close visual acuity are frequently required.
  • Sitting, standing, and light pushing is frequently required.
  • Keying data is repetitive motion and is frequently required.
  • The worker is occasionally subject to noise and to temperature effects when walking through the shop, but this position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
