What are the responsibilities and job description for the Document Management Specialist position at Sheakley Group, Inc?
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs various duties within the department up to and including; prepping (indexing) documents, printing various letters, scanning documents, running various computer programs and reports, opening and distributing mail, and fulfilling requests for medical.
- Reports directly to the Administrative Support Team Leader
- Ability to perform and maintain all the roles and responsibility of Admin Support
- Prints provider checks and explanation of benefits letters within the timeframes as set by the Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC)
- Assists with status requests and other requests submitted via email
- Balances check run totals with approved BWC funds and adjustments
- Assists with BWC audits and interacts with auditors as needed
- Ability to accurately sort, fold, and mail provider checks to prevent breach of confidentiality
- Organized, attentive to detail, dependable, resourceful
- Able to make timely and accurate decisions, strong ability to multi-task
- Assists in meeting or exceeding Sheakley and BWC goals and measurements
- Other duties as assigned by Team Leader, Supervisor or Management
- Assists with other departments as needed to facilitate the MCO's workflow

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school education or equivalent experience
- Above average computer skills
- Typing - 30 to 40 WPM
- 10 key - 9000 KPH preferred / 30 WPM
- Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Physical & Mental Demands:
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
- Ability lift files, reach and carry up to 25 pounds
