Job Title: Bilingual Safety Manager
Location: Dalton, GA
Duration: 6 Months
Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $40-$45/hr (No Per Diem)
Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
Hours: 50-60 hours/week, Monday-Saturday
Project Scope:
Demolition and blasting of existing rock formations to clear space for a new build. Safety oversight across all trades on-site, functioning as the Owner's Representative for safety compliance and site coordination.
Qualifications:
Bilingual - Spanish/English (Mandatory)
Demonstrated experience with demolition and blasting (Mandatory)
OSHA 510 Certification
8 years of construction and safety experience
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform daily site inspections to ensure compliance with all safety regulations
Serve as primary safety contact for both English- and Spanish-speaking crews
Coordinate with blasting subcontractors and monitor high-risk activities
Facilitate safety meetings, orientations, and toolbox talks in both English and Spanish
Maintain all safety documentation, incident logs, and inspection records
Act as liaison between the site team, trades, and project owners for safety concerns
Enforce jobsite safety policies and procedures consistently
Skills:
Strong bilingual communication and leadership abilities
Deep knowledge of demolition, blasting protocols, and construction safety standards
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in fast-paced environments
Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety reporting tools
Knowledge:
Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations, demolition-specific hazards, and multi-trade construction safety oversight. Ability to promote and enforce a strong safety culture across diverse workforces.
