Position Overview:
Job Title: EHS Manager
Location: Beaver Dam, WI
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 1 month (possibility for extension)
Employment Type: 1099 Contractor
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 40 hours/week
Compensation Package:
Hourly Rate: $50 - $52/hr
Per Diem: $125/day
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Project Scope:
You will be responsible for leading and overseeing all EHS activities for a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role demands proactive field presence, collaboration with site leadership, and the ability to uphold best-in-class safety standards while addressing real-time hazards and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Required Experience & Certifications:
Minimum 5 years of EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing setting
OSHA 511 or OSHA 501 certification required
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
Deliver new hire orientations and job-specific safety training
Enforce site-wide compliance with OSHA and company EHS protocols
Investigate incidents, track corrective actions, and maintain safety documentation
Serve as the primary safety liaison between site operations and contractors
Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and employee engagement initiatives
Ensure the proper use of PPE and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures
Desired Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence safe behaviors on-site
Excellent communication and public speaking abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
OSHA outreach training experience is a plus
Professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive matters
Knowledge Base:
In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, manufacturing safety standards, and best practices in environmental health and safety. Ability to interpret, apply, and communicate safety policies effectively in a dynamic work environment.
