This position requires a bilingual (Korean/English) safety professional with a strong understanding of industrial safety protocols and construction safety standards. Duration: 12 months
Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $50 - $60
Per Diem: $125 per day
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
Hours: 40 - 45 hours per week | Straight time
Project Scope:
Provide HSE oversight at a large-scale battery supplier facility
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, NFPA regulations, and client-specific safety protocols
Oversee both general industry and construction-related safety operations
Coordinate with Korean- and English-speaking personnel and contractors
Identify potential hazards and implement proactive safety measures
Support ongoing facility operations with emphasis on worker protection and process safety
Qualifications:
Experience:
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Bilingual in Korean and English (required - candidates who do not meet this will not be considered)
3 years of safety experience within a battery supplier or general industrial environment
3 years of construction safety experience
Familiarity with NFPA safety standards
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and employee orientations
Develop and implement safety programs tailored to both industrial and construction operations
Train and coach employees and contractors on safe work practices
Monitor and enforce compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and client-specific regulations
Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and incident documentation
Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective actions
Serve as the primary point of contact for HSE-related concerns on site
Skills:
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and industrial safety practices
Fluent in both Korean and English (verbal and written)
Excellent communication and public speaking abilities
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently in a high-paced, diverse environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
