Compensation:
- Salary: $85,000 - $100,000/year

Schedule:
- Hours: Monday-Friday 40hours, 7am-3:30pm
Project Scope:
Our client, a leading mechanical contractor, is looking for a new position, safety director, to come in and create/maintain their safety program.
Certifications:
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification (required).
- OSHA 500 Preferred
Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs with measurable results.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and procedures.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing safety programs for job site safety practices, including fall protection, hazard communication, and related areas.
- Conduct job site inspections for safety compliance, recommend corrective actions, and ensure their implementation.
- Create and maintain Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses to ensure workplace safety.
- Enforce compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as owner-specific requirements.
- Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees.
- Identify and address safety issues affecting employees or posing liability risks to the company.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Suppliers to maintain safety standards.
- Conduct safety orientations for all employees and establish/manage a local branch safety committee.
- Assist with OSHA audits as required.
- Recognize hazardous situations and make independent judgments to ensure worker safety.
Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other state/federal safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
