Compensation:
- Salary: $90,000 - $110,000/year (Vehicle provided for travel to project sites)

Schedule:
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hrs/week | 08:00 - 16:00
Project Scope:
Our client is a leading contractor specializing in fire protection services. They focus on servicing, inspecting, maintaining, designing, and installing fire protection systems for business owners, general contractors, property managers, construction managers, building maintenance staff, engineering and architectural firms, realtors, and homebuilders in Central Ohio and beyond. They are currently hiring a Safety Director to enhance their workplace safety programs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee department training to ensure all certifications remain current.
- Review and refine safety SOPs/SOGs, providing recommendations for updates.
- Supervise mechanical operations within the pipefitting field on project sites, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Evaluate and provide recommendations for daily JSA/PTPs to enhance site safety practices.
- Stay informed on OSHA recordkeeping requirements, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
Certifications:
- Required: OSHA 500-hour Construction certification.
- Preferred: BCSP certification.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in Safety Management.
- Experience in writing SOP/SOGs to maintain compliance with OSHA regulations.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing safety programs for fall protection, hazard communication, and other job site safety practices.
- Conduct job site inspections for safety compliance, recommend corrective actions, and ensure implementation.
- Create and maintain Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses to ensure workplace safety.
- Enforce compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as owner-specific requirements.
- Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees.
- Identify and address safety issues affecting employees or posing liability risks to the company.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Suppliers to maintain safety standards.
- Conduct safety orientations for all employees and establish/manage a local branch safety committee.
- Assist with OSHA audits as required.
- Recognize hazardous situations and make independent judgments to ensure worker safety.
Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other state/federal safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
