Job Title: Construction Safety Manager

Duration: 1 - 2 Years
Job Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $50 - $52 / HR
Per Diem: $125 per day
Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
Hours: 50 - 60 hours per week | Monday - Saturday | 10-hour days
Project Scope:
This project involves high-risk civil construction and automated warehouse operations, including:
- Erection of pallet racks up to 100 feet high
- Installation of conveyor and robotic systems

Safety oversight for high-risk activities, such as:
- Fall protection & working at extreme heights
- Critical lifts & crane operations
- Hot work & fire prevention
- Electrical safety (electrocution & arc flash prevention)
This role requires extensive experience in mitigating high-risk activities, ensuring strict compliance with safety standards, and training teams in hazardous environments.
Qualifications:
Experience: 10 years of construction and safety experience, with a focus on high-risk environments
Certifications:
- OSHA 500 (minimum requirement)
- Expertise in fall protection, critical lifts, hot work, and electrical safety (including electrocution and arc flash prevention)
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
Provide safety training on high-risk activities
Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
Oversee fall protection measures, critical lifts, and electrical safety compliance
Implement best practices to reduce risk and ensure compliance
Perform additional EHS-related tasks within the manager's skills and certifications
Skills:
Strong public speaking & communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
OSHA outreach training experience is a plus
Maintains confidentiality & professionalism in handling sensitive information
Knowledge:
A deep understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction, with the ability to effectively communicate and enforce these standards.
