Job Details:
- Job Title: Construction Safety Manager
- Location: Columbus, OH
- Duration: 5 Months (Start: 2/17/2025)
- Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $50/hr-$60/HR based on experience and certs
- Completion Bonus: $150/month
- Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday: 7 AM-3 PM (40 hours) Some weekends, depending on the weather and pour schedule.
Project Scope:
Oversee the safety of a concrete contractor on the North Market Tower in downtown Columbus. Responsibilities include:
- JSAs
- Site Walks
- Audits
- Safety enforcement
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 years in construction safety management. Must have experience working on high-rise construction projects. Must have experience working with concrete contractors.

Certifications:
- OSHA 510 (required)
- BCSP cert (preferred)
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
- Provide safety training as needed.
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required.
Skills & Knowledge:
Skills:
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- OSHA outreach training experience (a plus)
- Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
- Effective communication of EHS principles
