Safety Manager - Huntington, WV

Since 1963, Sheakley has been a leader in safety management outsourcing. We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to oversee safety operations in Huntington, WV. • Hourly Rate: $52 Local or $50 non local
• Per Diem: $110/Day perdiem if over 50 miles from project location
• Completion Bonus: $150/month
• Pay: Weekly

Schedule:

• Mon-Sat | 0600 - 1600 | 60hrs/week

The construction safety manager will oversee safety for the construction of a natural gas compressor substation

Candidates must have the following requirements:

• 10 years of heavy industry/construction experience, of which a minimum of 3 years is in a full-time Health and Safety position
• 4-year degree in Occupational Health and Safety

• Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
• Provide safety training as needed
• Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
• Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
• Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required

• Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
• Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

• Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
• Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
