Job Title: Construction Safety Manager
Location: Jackson, Missouri
Duration: 16 Months (Start Febuary 10 2025)
Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $45-47.50/hr. Prefers someone local
- Perdiem: $153/Day on 7 days if over 50 miles from project location
- Completion Bonus: $150/month
- Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
- Hours: M-F day shift 50hrs/wk
Project Scope:
The project consists of building 53/ 55 renovation and new building 54, between those two. They will be in charge of the on-site safety of approximately 15 to 20 subcontractors- 100 plus workers
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 years in construction safety management
- Certifications: Current OSHA 30 certification required. BCSP cert preferred
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
- Provide safety training as needed.
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications
Skills:
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- OSHA outreach training experience is a plus.
- Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA and industry regulatory standards in construction, with the ability to communicate these effectively.
