Job Details:

Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $50-$60/hr
- Per Diem: $130/day worked if over 50 miles from Johnstown, OH
- Completion Bonus: $150/month for workers' compensation expenses
- Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
- Work Days: M-TH, 1st shift. 40 hours, 3 11's and a 7.
Project Scope:
You will oversee the safety of an electrical contractor building a high-security fence around an AEP substation and continuing the substation construction. Responsibilities include:
- Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
- Site Walks
- Audits
- Safety enforcement
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 years in construction safety management with substation experience

Required Certifications:
- 4-year degree in Occupational Health & Safety plus 2 years of experience, OR
- OSHA 500/510 certifications plus 5 years of safety experience with electrical utilities, OR
- BCSP Certification
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED certifications
- Other Requirements: Candidates must have individual Worker's Compensation coverage. At project completion, you will be compensated $150/month for workers' comp expenses to cover upfront costs.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
- Provide safety training as needed.
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required.
Skills & Knowledge:
Skills:
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- OSHA outreach training experience (a plus)
- Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
- Effective communication of EHS principles
