Our client, a reputable roofing contractor recognized for delivering high-quality, safety-focused solutions across the region, is on the search for a Safety Manager to oversee roofing projects and ensure the highest safety standards are met.

Type: Direct Hire (W2)
Compensation:
- Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 annually (based on experience).

Schedule:
- Monday - Friday (40 - 50 hours a week)
Project Scope:
Manage and enforce safety standards for commercial and large-scale roofing projects, ensuring compliance across multiple sites within a 30-mile radius of Laurel, MD. Occasional travel to Virginia Beach, VA, for additional oversight is required.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing safety programs, including fall protection, hazard communication, and safety-related practices, while providing group training sessions.
- Conduct safety inspections on projects, identify and enforce corrective measures, and ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, local, and owner-specific requirements.
- Develop and maintain Site-Specific Safety Plans, Activity Hazard Analyses, and safety policies, working closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Deliver safety training, orientations, and establish/manage safety committees.
- Identify and address safety issues impacting employees or company liability.
- Support OSHA audits and ensure ongoing safety compliance.
- Recognize hazards and make independent safety-related decisions as needed.
- Perform additional safety tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Required:
- OSHA 510 certification and 3 years of safety experience with roofing projects.
- Fall Protection expertise.
- ProCore proficiency (preferred).
Preferred Certifications or Must Be Willing to Acquire:
- OSHA 500.
- EM 385.
