Project Scope
You'll oversee safety programs for the construction of a new solar field installation in Mark Center, OH. Duties include field audits, hazard mitigation, site orientations, and collaboration with trade partners to ensure compliance during all phases of the electrical and structural buildout.
Schedule & Site Expectations
Hours: 50-60/week
Days: Monday-Friday
Travel: Primarily onsite (Per diem available if >50 miles away)
Duration: 8-month project
Required Qualifications
OSHA 510/500
First Aid/CPR Certification
3 years of safety experience in construction, electrical, or related field
Strong understanding of field safety, hazard assessments, and renewable energy projects
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily site inspections and coordinate safety meetings
Enforce OSHA, site, and client-specific safety standards
Provide safety training and toolbox talks, especially regarding energized systems and excavation
Lead incident investigations and recommend corrective actions
Maintain documentation, audits, and compliance logs
Collaborate with site managers and contractors to address evolving risks
Core Competencies
Strong communication and leadership presence in the field
Able to navigate fast-paced construction environments
Familiarity with solar field construction and related electrical hazards
Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital safety platforms
Organized, adaptable, and proactive problem-solver
