Job Details:

- Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $50/hr (overtime after 40 hours)
- Per Diem: $110/Day (paid 7 days a week)
- Mobilization: $1,000 each way
- Completion Bonus: $150/month
- Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
- Workdays: Monday - Saturday (potential Sunday work if required)
- Shifts: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours: 18:00-06:00 or 19:00-07:00
Project Scope:
The Safety Manager will oversee the safety of the changeout of a circulation water pump at the ENW Columbia Generating Station.
- Responsible for daily AHAs/JSAs
- Active presence on-site (JSAs, Site Walks, Audits, safety enforcement, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 years in Mechanical/Industrial/Construction safety management; Nuclear experience preferred
- Certifications: Current OSHA 510 certification
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
- Provide safety training as needed
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required
Skills:
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- OSHA outreach training experience is a plus
- Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction, with the ability to communicate these effectively.
