Construction Safety Manager
Location: Richmond, VA
Duration: 3-6 Months (Start: March 31, 2025)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Job Details
- Hourly Rate: $50/hr
- Per Diem: $2500/Month if over 50 miles from project location
- Completion Bonus: $150/month
- Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
- 50-60hrs/week | 0700 - 1700 | M-F (Saturdays will start in a couple of weeks)
Project Scope
The construction safety manager will oversee solar field installations (Trenching, underground utilities, Lockout/Tagout, etc)
Qualifications
Candidates must have ONE the following requirements:
- OSHA 500 with 5 years of construction safety OR
- CHST with 4 years of construction safety OR
- BA in Health and Safety with 5 years of construction safety.
- Must have Solar construction experience
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
- Provide safety training as needed
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required
Skills & Knowledge
Skills:
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
- Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
- Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
