Job Title: Construction Safety Manager
Location: Victorville, CA
Duration: 4 Weeks (Immediate Start 3/17/2025)
Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $50/hr (overtime after 40)
- Per Diem: $125/Day on seven days
- Completion Bonus: $150/month
- Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
- Hours: Night Shift M-Sat | 1900 - 0700 | 12hr Shifts | 60 hrs/week
Project Scope:
The Safety Manager will oversee the outage work for the cement facility. This includes the change-out of conveyors and mechanical installations. The role requires expertise in confined space, excavation, fall protection, and IH background/understanding. Responsibilities include JSAs, site walks, audits, and safety enforcement.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 years in construction safety management

MSHA New Miner Training - OSHA 510 with 5 years of experience, OR
- CSP or CIH with relevant experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
- Provide safety training as needed.
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications.
Skills:
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- OSHA outreach training experience is a plus.
- Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction, with the ability to communicate these effectively.
