Job Overview
Performs maintenance functions to ensure correct, safe and economical operation of the facility, its contents, property, and equipment.
Duties
-Inspects, monitors and maintains complete operation of boilers, emergency generators, sewage lift station, HVAC systems, and domestic water system.
-Monitors and controls the environmental systems of the facility utilizing computer software.
-Participates in the facility’s preventive maintenance program.
-Documents and maintains files of inspection records and equipment specifications/manuals.
-Responds to emergency calls.
-Inspects, installs, repairs and replaces pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating, water, gas and drainage systems of the facility.
-Inspects, repairs, and maintains the building structure including painting, plaster repairs, carpentry, and minor floor repairs.
-Performs electrical repairs as assigned.
-Performs security functions as assigned.
-Assists in maintaining the facility grounds as directed.
-Maintains and operates facility vehicles as directed.
-Cleans equipment and work area.
-Participates in continuous quality improvement activities as assigned.
Experience
-High school graduate or equivalent.
-Four years related experience required. Comprehends the principles of plumbing, electricity, carpentry, boilers, refrigeration cooling, painting and mechanics.
-Successful completion of the Maintenance Competency Test covering areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry, welding, lubrication, and symbols with a passing score.
-Ability to understand regulatory requirements.
-Ability to understand and comply with federal, state, and facility safety regulations.
-Possesses a valid driver’s license.
-Requires a functional knowledge of Windows software applications and computer operation.
-Possesses the ability to communicate effectively.
-Understands and effectively carries out oral and written instructions.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.18 - $25.14 per hour
