What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Management Technologist position at Shedd RS?

We are looking for a Systems Management Technologist to join our client’s team in support of their DoD customer onsite at Fort Knox, KY.

This role is fully onsite with some travel required to both CONUS and OCONUS U.S. territories. A current DoD Secret Clearance is required along with DoD 8570 IAT II certification compliance. This is a direct hire contract position with our client with an anticipated salary range of $60-65k.

Responsibilities Include :

Tier 3 Application helpdesk support.
Tier 3 Functional Customer Support that liaises between Directorates, field offices, and service providers and provides onsite, remotely, over the phone, and / or via email.
Provide physical support and troubleshooting with individual users; for users geographically separated from the immediate area, support shall involve working with the user, other BDE IMO(s), university or high school IT personnel, as well as possibly providing additional support to the BDEs when required.
Support technical analyses of current and future Information Technology (IT) Purchase Requests to ensure compatibility with established government specifications.
Monitor support ticketing and reporting systems; reports trends of degraded services and support to MAM and G6 leadership.
Support the analysis of the IT / IM architecture impacting dynamic network access and services to soldiers, civilians, contractors, and partners at all locations.
Conduct analysis, refinement and modernization of IT / IM system(s) that support Command and Control, education / training, and distribution and delivery.
Provide classroom support to the School of Cadet Command (SOCC, JSOCC, CULP).
Provide Brigade classroom and conference room support.
User Account management.
Monitor and track training and compliance.
Update and maintain software application roles and account access.
Coordinate actions to resolve cyber-attacks / incidents on command assets with external and subordinate organizations.
Ensure daily, monthly, and quarterly compliance requirements are met individually within the timelines provided by Operations executive leadership.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in information management with 5 years of experience supporting organizations with 500 users OR Associate degree in Information Management with 7 years of experience supporting organizations with 500 users.

Must have and maintain at least one certification from the list of approved DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements : CCNA Security, CySA , GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, CND, or SSCP.

DoD Secret Clearance.

U.S. Citizenship.

Must reside within a commutable distance to Fort Knox, KY to work onsite full time.

Ability to travel both CONUS and OCONUS to U.S. territories.

Ability to communicate with team personnel effectively and professionally, and high-ranking military superiors.

Must have an impeccable work ethic, the ability to make sound decisions, and a commitment to integrity and accountability.

Preferred Education, Certifications, Years of Experience and Skills :

A thorough knowledge and experience of the Army organizational structure, mission objectives, function, procedures, agency regulations, and policy pertaining to the Department of the Army.

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
