POSITION SUMMARY: Automotive Dealership Controller – Northern Virginia Area
We are looking for an experienced Automotive Dealership Controller to manage dealership finance and accounting. This includes preparing monthly and annual consolidated financial statements, cash flow management, external reporting, financial modeling, inventory management, internal controls, and ensuring best practices.
Requirements:
- Must have 3 years of recent Automotive Controller experience at a franchised dealer
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Reynolds and Reynolds experience is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Prepare reports summarizing and forecasting activity and financial positions in areas such as income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and projected operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
- Oversee the financial accounting processes, including the general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Manage operational accounting processes, including receivables, payment processing, and accounts payable.
- Oversee the accounting and consolidation systems.
- Coordinate and manage the account reconciliation process.
- Monitor compliance with evolving accounting standards.
- Maintain effective controls over the location's accounting processes.
