Sheehy Toyota of Laurel is seeking a highly organized and motivated Experienced Automotive Porter Manager to assist the Inventory Manager in overseeing the Porter team and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role involves managing vehicle flow, lot organization, team supervision, and upholding dealership standards. The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience managing a team of up to 10 members and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

- Lead the Porter team in a working supervisor role alongside staff.
- Work with the Inventory Manager to create monthly schedules for the porter team
- Remains engaged with the porter team, delegate task, foster successful working relationships and processes with fellow departments, internal team members and external customers.
- Ensure all dealership lots remain clean, free of debris and trash and organized, with front-line vehicles properly labeled, fueled (at least ¼ tank for used cars), and positioned daily.
- Conduct inventory checks on Mondays and Fridays, update the wholesale sheet daily, and complete key inventories twice weekly.
- Create and apply stock stickers for all trade-ins and auction vehicles, place new trades in designated areas, and maintain necessary supplies (tag inserts, brackets, screws).
- Assist with unloading new vehicle shipments, ensuring proper stocking and labeling, and move vehicles from the side lot to the front line as needed.
- Maintain the sold vehicle line and ensure the timely removal of sold units from inventory.
- Take the lead on snow removal efforts and coordinate with the service department for seasonal planning.
Requirements:

- At least one year of supervisory experience
- Must be available to work nights, days, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be able to drive a manual (stick shift) vehicle
- Strong work ethic, takes initiative and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based systems (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with vAuto and Reynolds & Reynolds is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be authorized to work in the USA with a Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment background screening, Motor Vehicle Record check, and drug test.
