POSITION SUMMARY:
Sheer Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Executive to drive new business development, manage existing client relationships, and achieve sales targets within the 3PL and 4PL industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven record in B2B logistics sales, the ability to build long-term relationships with clients, and a strong work ethic.
Sales Execs will be responsible for executing the complete sales process and accountable for successfully securing new revenue to meet sales goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales background in logistics, communication skills, and drive.
This role requires prospecting, discovery, creating demand, support for pricing, negotiating, relationship management, working with others internally in a collaborative manner, and other actions that align with business development. Sheer will support your sales efforts, opportunities, portfolio growth, and personal growth along the way. This position offers endless opportunities for growth and development. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- New Business Development: Identify and target new business opportunities within the logistics sector. Generate leads and prospect potential clients to build a pipeline and grow the customer base.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets. Understand, utilize, and comply with Sheer’s GTM, sales systems and processes
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients, understanding their logistics needs and delivering value based solutions.
- Solution Selling: Provide clients with needs-based logistics solutions to meet their specific business priorities and requirements. Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of company products and services.
- Negotiations & Proposals: Prepare and present competitive pricing proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals in alignment with company policies and profit margins.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify potential opportunities, educate customers, and provide feedback to the management team.
- Collaboration: Work well across multiple functions and departments to ensure the successful execution of services and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline, regularly report on progress and provide accurate sales forecasts.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 3 years of proven success selling logistics solutions
- Proven track record closing new logo business and maintaining customer relationships
- Proven success selling value-based services and solutions
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and the ability to meet and exceed sales targets
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
- Exceptional communication, emotional intelligence, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills
- Solid industry knowledge including customer needs and competitive landscape
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer accounts effectively
Compensation Details:
The qualified individual can expect a competitive annual salary with an uncapped commission structure
Range: $80,000 to $125,000 plus commission
Work Location: One of Sheer’s offices: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, or St. Louis.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Sedentary inside office work with limited exposure to weather conditions, travel as needed.
