Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Busser/Expo to join our team at our new restaurant and bar. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing excellent customer service, ensuring a smooth operation between the kitchen and the dining area, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. As a Busser/Expo, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the dining experience by supporting our servers and ensuring timely delivery of orders.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service:
• Assist servers by clearing and resetting tables promptly to ensure a pleasant dining experience for guests.
• Interact with guests courteously and professionally, addressing any immediate needs or concerns in a friendly manner.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
• Expo Duties:
• Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
• Review and verify orders before sending them out, ensuring that all items are correct and meet quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to address any issues or special requests related to orders.
• Maintenance and Organization:
• Keep the dining area and service stations clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the shift.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant and bar areas, including regular cleaning of tables, floors, and other surfaces.
• Help manage and organize utensils, glassware, and other supplies to ensure efficiency and readiness.
• Additional Responsibilities:
• Support team members as needed, including helping with opening and closing duties and setting up for special events.
• Follow all safety and health regulations, including proper handling of food and beverages.
• Be attentive to guests’ needs and communicate any special requests or feedback to the appropriate staff members.

Experience

• Previous experience as a busser, expo, or in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
