Growing podiatry practice in Ashland seeking a medical assistant to join our team. Primary responsibilities include patient intake, EHR documentation, assisting the provider with clinical tasks, room turnover and assisting in preparing and sterilizing instruments when needed. Podiatry or ortho experience preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Clinical knowledge, podiatry experience preferred
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- HIPPA compliance
Job Duties
- Supports the patient and provider throughout the patient visit
- Assists the provider with clinical procedures when required
- Assists with room turnover and equipment preparation
- Provides excellent patient service through effective communication both over the phone and in person
- Completes appropriate documentation including patient intake
- Maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training and credentials through personal and professional development
- Performs other related duties as required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
