Job Overview
Sheffield Place is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our team. The position will play a crucial role in providing groups, support and guidance to residential and aftercare clients. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality services.

Responsibilities

· Utilize data entry skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.

· Communicate effectively with clients and staff

· Manage caseload of residential and aftercare clients

· Support clients in becoming self-sufficient

· Collaborate with the clinical and operations staff to coordinate services

· Provide skills training and peer coaching to clients

· Help clients address barriers to independence including substance abuse, unemployment, and health care.

· Aid clients in participating in scheduled services

· Coordinate move ins and move outs, manage room preparation

· Transport clients to appointments and outings

Skills/Experience
· Proficient in data entry with a high level of accuracy

· Peer Support Specialist certification is required

· Experience working in addiction, recovery, mental health service.

· Experience working in a clinical setting is preferred.

· Personal lived experience is preferred

Must have been in recovery for at least 5 years

- Valid Driver’s License required

Must be able to successfully complete a background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
