Position Responsibilities
This position contributes successfully to our operations because they will :
- Track and manage inventories; verify and report numbers .
- Manually deduct all parts removed from stock from the previous 24 hours.
- Generate and complete purchase order requests for parts to be ordered for company back stock.
- Order parts on an emergency basis, when needed, in a timely manner
- Retrieve and return equipment and / or parts from local vendors / companies in a safe and efficient manner.
- Daily Physical Inventory
- Receive new inventory :
Unbox, locate, receive / verify content, receive parts into inventory, process purchase orders.
Ship and receive parts & equipment.Update company invoicing program on a daily basisCoordinate with Maintenance planner to schedule inspections for Permits to operate (boilers, air tanks propane tanks & elevators)Complete permits for wastewater discharge, water back flow monitoring reportComplete self-monitoring report.Boiler emissions log updated yearly.Manage / maintain and clean the multiple buildings at the facility the ensure and safe and clean work environmentGenerate reports for admin. As needed.Support maintenance techs. On parts location.Assist with parts or tools to rebuild equipment through external contractors on planned projects to be performed on a weekend.Move heavy equipment with specialized machinery.Coordinate and assist on projects at cheese plant when required to move / receive equipment.Issue PO# as needed : Follow up with vendors or contractors for accuracy in pricing and availabilityVendors and contractor walkthroughs.Generate reports as needed.Data entry : New vendors and / or new parts.Assist on coordination of scheduling facility maintenance :Plumbing issues, repairs : dock doors, dock ramps, change light bulbs, flooring, catwalks, exhaust fans, forklift, etc. This includes ice cream warehouse and front office.Perform other duties as assigned.Position Requirements
To be a successful Maintenance Clerk, they will need :
High school diploma or GED is required.A valid California driver’s license is required.Minimum three (3) years of experience with exposure to part coordination / purchasing / orderingThe ability to obtain a forklift certification and operate a forklift is required.The ability to work in an office setting involving, but not limited to sitting, standing, kneeling, etc. is required.The ability to work in a cold storage warehouse and in all weather conditions such as rain and heat is required.The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals is required.Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills are required.The ability to use common hand and power tools is preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Hourly : $20.35 - $22.61
